Half Empty or Half Full

So often, especially at this time of year, we start looking back at what has taken place, or not, during the last twelve months. Depending on your state of mind, your view is either the half full glass – or half empty. The “What if I had done” syndrome creeps into our heads, many times overshadowing the really good and fortunate times and events.

A few lines jumped out at me as I was reading the other day. A true wake-up call for many of us.

“We make history not only when we set records or become the first through a barrier, but also when we make the effort to follow our own dreams, teach by example, and encourage others to reach out for the future in ways they might not believe are possible.” (Author Lane Wallace Sport Aviation 2015 ‘The Women Who Make History’

This is not just for women, or men, or business people. This applies to each and every one of us.

The above quote doesn’t really need any explanations, long or short. Be it personal and/or professional,  you made the effort, and that is was truly counts. Congratulate yourself and those around you, and enjoy this time.
